Model number basics

Identify the product—not the history of one physical device

What a model number tells you

A manufacturer model number identifies a product or verified regional variant. One consumer product can have several model numbers because radio bands, regulatory approvals, carriers, and sales regions differ.

What it cannot tell you

A model number does not reveal whether a particular phone is blacklisted, financed, carrier-locked, protected by Find My, under warranty, or owned by a specific person.

When to use an IMEI check

Use a paid IMEI service when you need carrier, blacklist, SIM-lock, financing, activation, warranty, or other information about one physical device.

Device model-number FAQs

Where can I find my Apple model number?

On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings → General → About. Tap Model Number if a part number beginning with M, N, F, or P appears; this reveals the A-number used by the checker.

Where can I find my Samsung model number?

Open Settings → About phone and review Model name or Model number. The device label and original packaging may also list it.

Is a model number the same as an IMEI?

No. A model number identifies a product or variant. An IMEI is a unique 15-digit identifier for one cellular device.

Can this checker tell whether a phone is blacklisted or unlocked?

No. Blacklist, carrier-lock, financing, Find My, warranty, and ownership status require an IMEI or serial-based service.

Why does the same phone have several model numbers?

Manufacturers may publish separate codes for radio bands, carriers, regulatory markets, and regions even when the consumer product name is the same.

What should I do when my model is not found?

Check the characters, remove storage or color text, choose the manufacturer manually, and review the model-number instructions. WeFix Plus can also help in person or through the contact page.

Does WeFix Plus repair the device after it is identified?

The result links to the closest repair category for the identified device. Contact Palm Bay or Sebastian to confirm parts, timing, and final pricing.
